This is the detailed step-by-step walkthrough with a lot of very useful original pictures from the game. It will help you to beat the game both when playing pure solo game (might or magic) and with the usual party of four characters (plus Forad, of course). This complete guide will lead you from the moment of choosing your party and to the very end of the game with the last battle included. Probably it is the best walkthrough existing on the net now and the only one - for solo game! The manuscript is written in the easy conversational manner in order to avoid boring and tedious reading of many pages.
Special attention was payed to the basics of the game at the beginning of the walkthrough - specifically for those players who never played Might and Magic games before.
This strategy does not use any tricks whatsoever, meaning no bottomless chests, no editors or trainers, no hidden tricks, no bugs exploiting, no reloading if you get the wrong or not desirable thing, no anything. This strategy is all about the hard straight forward playing, beating the game and enjoying it.
Do not think that this walkthrough will make your gameplaying just mindless following of the instructions or easy strolling around and killing everyone in sight. No, you will have to think and plan and fight according to your own instincts and accumulated experience anyway. Of course, it will be somewhat easier with my manuscript at hand. :) However, be assured that it will in no way spoil your fun from playing the game. I could be the adviser here, but the game will be played by YOU and it will be passed because of YOUR efforts and brains.
Do not have any doubts about possibility to play this game solo. I have done it twice. You can check the results of the both games. Moreover, with the help of this walkthrough people who NEVER played solo before passed the game and enjoyed it!
And one more thing - this manuscript is the result of the long and hard work and is mine and mine alone, meaning it is copyrighted. You can use it freely for your own gameplaying, but if you want to place it on any site or use it in any other similar manner - tell me first! I am not acquisitive, but I want to know. :)
Special thank you to my friend The Grey Wanderer - first for convincing me to play Might and Magic IX, and second - for being the first reader, critic and tester of this work. |

Welcome to the world of Might and Magic IX!
Well, the game was published in spring 2002, and probably many that have waited for it didn't get exactly what they wanted. Well, at least myself included. But still, I cannot say about the game - is it good or bad only. Let's say that it is unusual, and it is not the Might and Magic that I'm used to. It's been made completely with 3D graphics and with new engine platform. New spell learning system, some new features also, but better to see or play once than to speak thousand times.
In difference to other sections of the site about the previos Might and Magic games (MM VI, MM VII and MM VIII) here in MM IX I've published not only my own articles but also asked other players, who have played the game to share their knowledge. I hope that their game reviews as well as opinions and advices will help you.
Here you also find the detailed Walkthrough (with sceenshots from the game); very helpful game Guide as well as the special FAQ section and Quests and reference section where there are answers to the most, if not all problems you could encounter in the game.
Altogether, here you can find help, clues, hints, tips and advices practically to all questions and hard locations. Enjoy the game and good luck!

Reference section represents the custom made manual for the game with useful and convenient tables and charts and complete information about all the quests, spells and skills. (I used these materials myself and they indeed ARE very convenient. ~ BES) |
